David Marshall - Comic Book Art | Reach: A 24-Hour Comic)
Hub Comics
Hosted from Noon-to-Noon on the weekend of October 18th 2008
Substance
Turns out I was way too comfortable in my new neighborhood to finish. Lots of friends -- plus 3 hours writing an unreadable plot -- lead to me spending more time talking than drawing. Click here for more details on the 'blog.
Form
All digital (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc). Those with longer memories know that I was a slow-moving perfectionist way before even touching a computer. While car may be defective, at some point you gotta blame the driver.

Now Ain't Soon Enough: a 24-Hour Comic
Unpublished work in progress. Story and art by David Marshall. My incomplete entry to a local version of the 24 Hour Comic project (produce 24 pages in 24 hours). While I get the story legible, click here for more details on the 'blog.

Connections
An international challenge: independently create a 24-page comic book in 24 continuous hours. No preparation (sketches, designs, plot summaries, etc.) can precede the 24 hour period.

A truly neighborhod comics shop, located in Union Square. Friendly help, late hours, supports local and independent work, lots of stuff but not cramped and great with kids. What's not to love?
