Marshall Art Studio: Comic Book Art (The Null Device)
DVD Extras
My original intention was to finish lettering and do slightly-more professional art for "Soaked". Reviewing the story after some much-needed sleep, there seemed to be enough visual and random energy for a finished story.
The first step was making the drawings more convincing. This meant lots of photo research of my local neighborhood, war zones, steampunk weapons and more. The pencil-level art was rendered tight, as if someone else was going to ink it.
About 3 quarters in, I realized I didn't know my characters, much less their motivations. To get everying down, I wrote a full script (as if someone else was drawing it).

The Null Device
(PG; SciFi/Action/Dreamscape) Story and art by David Marshall. This work-in-progress is inspired by my entry into last year's 24-Hour Comics Day. A lone agent must transmit data into enemy territory, fight an army, rescue a damsel in distress and save the world.
