The SCAT Gallery
May 4, 2010 – May 31, 2010
Some know Dave is a mild mannered, quiet guy and founder of Marshall Art Studio in Union Square, Somerville. Others know him as the guy who has the job others dreams about... he is a comic book artist and illustrator. He is the creator of Lucky Seven - The Dee Brown Incident. He also teaches a very cool class, Art of the Comic Book.
Dave’s interest in comic books started in childhood. Initially he was a comic book reader who moved on to create comic art work that entertained his friends. While his peers followed the exploits of superheroes, Dave was studying the work of the creators of the super heroes. By the time Dave entered high school, he was planning a future that would include his love comic book creation. He enrolled in the Massachusetts College of Art which offered him a way to merge his love of art and comic book creation. In 1990, Dave founded Marshall Art Studio which is located in Somerville.
