Marshall Art Studio: Comic Book Art (RetroActive)

DVD Extras

Once again, under the alibi of building a credible recreation of my bicentennial junior high school experience, I spent an obsessive amount of time pouring over family albums, yearbooks and the internet. Sort of like writing a dissertation, it's hard to know when to stop reliving the past and start drawing. Damn you, Google!

As you can tell from this spread, I couldn't let go until I knew exactly how to draw the Marvel stickers, television, furniture, fashions and even the current issue of FOOM. What might not be apparent is the equally obsessive research of the suicide note. This was based largely on Kurt Cobain's note, with random samples of others.
