Marshall Art Studio: Comic Book Art (A Sunday Walk)

DVD Extras

Form

  • At this point, I was adapting my art style to the subject matter of the story. Encore looked rougher than The Message, and so on. This story was quiet and well-paced, which lead me to use a style with emphasis on lighting, naturalism and realism. For some reason, I also decided to use a Hal Foster approach of keeping the words away from the pictures.

Substance

  • After buying The Message for Street Music, Mark wanted to collaborate on one of his original stories. This working relationship lead to our second collaboration on the theme story "Bored Sick".
