Market Events

Cooking Demonstrations Each year, Market Managers work with local chefs to showcase their cuisine and foods fresh from the farmers' market. Look for notice of these events at your local farmers' market.

Federation Events

Savor the Seasonings, our dinner series at Lumiere Restaurant in West Newton, October 18th 2004 at 6:30 pm. This fundraising dinner for FMFM will have local produce, meat, and wine and will cost $125 per person. Look for ticket raffles and ticket sales at FMFM managed markets and participating member markets – A 1/25 chance of winning!

Eastern States Exposition (The Big E) Once again, FMFM will have a booth The Big E. As perhaps the sole purveyor of “healthy food” at the fair, come to the Massachusetts Building and enjoy our raspberries, melon cups, grilled vegetables, roasted squash and potatoes, and top it off with the very best “homemade” apple and pumpkin pies. The Big E will be held from September 17th to October 3rd this year. Come visit and support the Federation of MA Farmers' Markets.

Collaborative Events

Project Bread, Redbones, and FMFM collaborate in a fundraising event for Project Bread each August. Most of the products at market are grilled in Redbones’ famous manner and sold for a few dollars. All proceeds go to Project Bread.

The Boston Public Market Association (BPMA) and FMFM are working together on a proposed Summer Public Market on the Greenway. This is set to tentatively open in June. The BPMA will also have a fundraising event on September 28th. Check here for more information as it develops.

Taste of Cambridge has been moved to July. It will be held in the Technology Square of Cambridge and will be a great community event. The FMFM is working on partnering the Cambridge Central Square Farmers' Market as well as other Cambridge member markets with this event. Please check back to this site for more information.
